my cloud poem

Clouds

Different clouds….war like clouds

raging with anger as i float

My enemies tremble as I yell like a mighty coyote

BOOM!!! A feeling of anger hit’s me

as my friends die

Clouds dying with fear in there heart


My heart pounding like someone is punching me
dragon born


i chose a book called dragon born i chose it because it is about a boy who had weird dreams about dragons
the thing that interest was the dragon that he turned into.

my toanga is my nan because she is very old and can't speak properly she is in hospital and she needs help to walk and she loves dogs and she doesn't like the outdoors she likes watching t.v and sleeps a lot she is special because she can make bread well she used to it was very yum and warm she sleeps on a single chair she needs help getting up and walking around to the kitchen and other places.my nan is special because she is sick she is not very well she is sick she is my toanga because i had her for a long time and she likes chocolate i wish i could see her in the hospital well she is still alive and hope she gets well.the special thing about her is that she never yells she is special to me because i did jobs for her she likes ice cream and the cooking channel on t.v my nan is special because she is my best's nan in the world.

how i solve problems in a team


This is the problem that I solved. it was about Nash and Sia making fifteen lava lava. I knew that each lava uses 2/3 of a metre of material.


First I did two thirds then I doubled that which would equal 4/3 of a metre.This makes 2 lava lava.Second it was hard to figure this out because it has two third's of a metre which would have some left overs out of the metre so there would be left overs.Thirdly I doubled it by four it so i can get closer to fifteen there would be one whole and one half and four lava lava. Then i doubled it by 10 and there is 12 lava lava i doubled it by 2 again so i can get closer to my answer which i got it . I worked out that 2/3 +2/3= 4/3 2/3+2/3=4/3=8/3 altogether i knew it was 8/3 because when you put two fraction's together you don't double the denominator only the numerator.

2/3+2/3=4/3 2/3+2/3 =4/3=8/3 I worked out that altogether it would be 1 whole and 6/3 of a metre so i know this because you can't have sixteen as the numerator so it's one whole and six thirds. They need a extra metre of fabric cause the one whole takes up
the whole metre.So then there is five thirds of fabric left the answer is one whole and six thirds that is the answer the left over is two thirds of the metre left.

this problem was a little bit hard but i still manged to complete it.I got the 2/3 from the problem.
the metre was very useful to use in my head.I used a imaginary metre ruler in my head.The answer for the left overs are 2/3 so they can make one more lava lava.

At technology we have been learning how to carve, cook , sew ,and do music.the activity i am in is carving. in carving You carve out patterns make family shields and make other thing's, I've already finished all my project's all the stuff i completed is at home in my bedroom on the wall.


i got better at carving by:

  • asking for help 
  • listening to what m.r pillar says and watching how he carve's

I had to use interesting sentence starters. I had to use descriptive words so that I can paint a picture in my readers head.  


I am good adding ideas that are from the real world because it's better then making it up because when you make something up it's not that easy you have to make up a setting make up who is the characters and other stuff , and when it is real someone can read it and can connect to it, because it's real 

I got better at having a great start to hook my reader in because when people read it they want to read more

It is hard to write about something you don't want to write about because you know nothing about the topic 



I feel frustrated when I don't know anything about the topic because I can't connect to it and don't have any ideas.

Wooooooo! INQUIRY TIME!!!.Our question was How do we make a product that improves the health and wellbeing of teenagers so Rico,Tawh and Travelle.made a product name called “Swift” it is based roughly on lynx and other sprays it comes in 3 different varieties like sport spray(gives You a short adrenalin boost) and sickness spray (cures you from any sickness)this spray does not contain any inappropriate chemicals.Any inappropriate chemicals or drugs that you take after this spray can affect your body in a way you wouldn’t like it.  If you take this spray to get fixed or make it better you will be disrupted from our company purchases.And you will be charged. Placed inside will be used against the court of law if you add anything that would help but it won't you will be charged and any purchases of our product will not be sold to you ).our spray is based on saving lives and we want it to be sold out worldwide so we can make all sicknesses a cure.I was participating in my group by giving ideas about this spray.I was helping my group by making sure i know what is going on in the group and how it affected my group.My group where really creative about our proudct and how it will be promoted in a certain way,we found out that we could make a adverttisment for our product so the world can see our clever creation(which is not gonna happend)I came up with the first spray the sickness one which i thought was really clever,tawhiri came up with the sports spray so his advert person which use’s the product will be LeBron james how cool is that but it won’t happend unless he get’s paid,travelle came up with the swet spray is purpose was to stop people from sweting when they run and give them a healthy smell when they run so that mean’s you won’t have to go shower,plus our prodct price wise should be about around two grand or lower.our product should be made but we can’t because apparently we aren’t geek’s like albert einstein.I would like to take my product even further to create it,or ask john key if i can make this creative product, there is another way i can do this it is by asking the smartest geek’s in the world to the one and only new zealand and work on my product and add the offical fetaure’s.This product that we will create would help billion’s of people in this solar system even if i culd create that i would ask them to help me create another product that you spray on you then you can breath oxegen in space how cool would that be(but first have to finish the sickness product).Ok so me and my group would be happy if this is a possibilty that would be a huge acheivment to our school and show the world how clever new zealanders are.Our product is called swift we decided to call it swift because it will be a natural feeling like something is swooping past you like the wind which means when it swoops past you’ll feel better in no time.Our product will represent our school and country by selling our product worldwide this product can be used for the flu,measles,and any other sickness except ebola,and the zika virus(were not quite sure if we can do a cure for the ebola virus).I was good with my group by giving idea’s and helping my group if they don't understand what i am saying or if they disagree with my idea i can change their mind by explaining in a different way,I can also speak confidently and clearly to people,that me and my group are sharing to.Our product can improve the wellbeing of teenagers by protecting them from the flu so they won't get it sick and can attend school everyday and not miss day.I was good at working with my group by adding in smart idea’s and telling my group if something is not right or doesn’t make sense.RICO THE CEO AND TAWHIRI COLLINS MOHI THE BRAIN OF THE SITUATION of our product made a logo that everyone would remember.I was confident on how me and my group were working together.me and my group managed to get our presentaion done.And finally TRAVELLE THE BRAIN INSIDE THE CHEMICAL’S haha lol a group bigger than four.And to get more into making the logo(because really travelle did it) i really thought that it was a deodorant  instead of a spray that goes on you’re whole body.

Reading Learning Story

In reading we read a book called buttons it is about the people who got executed in Germany, some were even kid's. Moriah school collected 1.5 million button's for the children that died in Germany. The button's Moriah school have collected are stored inside jars and boxes. They were trying to collect the buttons to remember the 1.5 million children that died. People from all around the world sent them to New Zealand from the Netherland's, France, Poland, Germany, Norway, the United States and Indonesia.

when we were reading we were trying to:


  • find out who is the kaitiaki
  •  look for key words 
  •  identify what some of the words meant for an example (holocaust and concentration camp's)
  • what they did to collect button's and how they did it. 
When we did our discussing and reading in a group and someone doesn't understand what I am discussing about I can:


  • explain to them in a different way
  • I can show them what I mean using information from the story
  •  I can skim and scan through text to find information quickly
  • I can pronounce some hard word's

I learnt that to complete their task they would have to:
  • Make a plan about what they are going to do
  • call a good friend of theirs to spread the word
  • tell other countries if they would like to send some button's for the children that died
  • make posters and stick them up were other people will see it 
I can use this information to help me achieve my community action inquiry.

In Reading I  need to improve on: 

Finding similar ideas in more than one journal story to find out more information about a topic.

How i solve a fraction problem by RICO


This is the problem that I solved. it was about Nash and Sia making fifteen lava lava. I knew that each lava uses 2/3 of a metre of material.

2/3 is 1 metre of material so we need to multiply 2/3 of a metre of material by 15 lava lava's=30/3 then I went 30 divided by 3=10
so it's ten whole metre's

noho marae recount




When Ngati Aroha went  to the marae We did our rotations. what my group did is we were making the menu we were cuting papers out and sticking them onto cardboard to make them look fabulous we had to cut the cardboard out and make a triangle a and sticking them on both sides we had to make heaps and deliver them to the kitchen so they can present them.



After we went to play at the park we had loads of fun and wasted all of our energy.we had lost to much of our energy we went back to the marae exhausted and sweaty. we had to calm down and play sitting down games then after that we had dinner we had chicken and roasted veggies but unfortunately desert wasn't ready so we had to buddy up with one of the juniors and read with them me and my buddy read in the wharenui until we got called to come have desert. Then we had desert we had apple crumble and  ice cream sandwiches.


After dessert the 6 7 and 8's had played charades we had fun my group did things that wasn't from this decade Like prince.we did some funny signs we nearly won but the other team scored so quickly that it WAS A TIE  we got and extra turn and won .
Then after we all went to bed and said our pepe ha we all had to have a good night sleep i didn't have nice sleep for a bit because tapue was snoring and i only got to bed til he woke up .



We all woke up at the same time and kate walked in and turned the lights on we were all getting angry but we got up and gatherd our stuff and had breakfast we ate french toast cornflakes and toast with porridge.Then we wen't back to school
